What to watch out for?

1

1

Let The Music Play – 2

It would indeed require some powerful album/compilation to displace LTMP-2 from the top of the charts. A great bargain like this is hard to go unnoticed and when an album comprises of dozens of super-hits in one single pack, a music lover is sure to get bowled over. Sitting pretty at the top of the charts again, LTMP – 2 continues to do extremely well at the music stands.

Koi Baat Chale

Class proves itself as ‘Koi Baat Chale’, a unique album with some great tracks, enchants the lovers of quality music all over in spite of minimal publicity. Gulzar and Jagjit Singh reserve some of their best work for this album that is destined to stay in the charts for months to come.

4

Party In Punjab

Moving up by a position at just the right time when New Years Eve is round the corner, it results in a choice of aplenty for DJs since they have their hands full with a dozen odd dance albums that have rocked the charts this year!

Let The Music Play

While LTMP-2 enjoys its stint at the top of the charts, LTMP-1 is not far behind too as both of them combined together have some sensational chartbusters of the last few months. Rocking…once again!

5

5

Imported Music Across Boundaries

Not budging from its Top-5 position, ‘Imported’ is yet another compilation that has worked well with the youngsters in spite of average publicity and a mixed bag of songs.

6

Aadat - Jal

Numerous artists/compilations may have come and gone but Jal’s ‘Aadat’ has remained firm to have always made its presence felt in the charts. Being there for month after month, ‘Aadat’ has now placed itself firmly in the middle of the charts for yet another week.

8

Clap On The Beats

Moving a step up the charts, Ashok Masti’s ‘Clap On The Beats’ has been doing decent business in the charts, though one wonders why the publicity of the album has slowed down considerably. With an array of dance numbers making this album, there is still enough ammunition left to keep the album going.

New

Ustad & The Divas

An album that should be seen in Top-3 in no time, ‘Ustad & The Divas’ is a beautiful album where Ustad Sultan Khan has lent support to songs by Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Chitra. ‘Leja Leja’ is a terrific number which is en route to be a hit while Sandesh Shandilya has shown his prowess as composer….once again!

9

Raeth

There is no change at the bottom of the charts as ‘Raeth’ remains steady at its #9 position. Music video of ‘Tumharay Liye’ has just been premiered and should help the album continue to be in news.

Kailasa

Kailash Kher is certain to end the year on a very positive note with his ‘Kailasa’ turning out to be a blockbuster album of 2006. Coming with near negligible publicity, it is commendable to see the album work all on its own with the album’s success resulting in numerous music videos to be made.
