Dr. Ramesh Pokhriya Nishank, the Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development, has on Thursday thanked Pawan Kalyan over a useful suggestion for the country's education policy. The former Uttarakhand Chief Minister, taking to Twitter, said that the Jana Sena chief's suggestions were taken into consideration in drafting the New Education Policy, 2020.
"Dear Pawan Kalyan, your views about multifaceted education were taken into consideration while drafting the final #NEP2020. Under NEP 2020, students will be given increased flexibility and choice of subjects to study so that they can design their own paths of study and life plans," the Union Minister tweeted.
The policy was unveiled on Wednesday. This is the first such education policy in the country in 34 years. Former legislator and Lok Satta President Jayaprakash Narayan has welcomed the policy. "After years of dithering, at last an excellent policy has been approved. There is refreshing recognition of failures & past mistakes, and a genuine roadmap to improve outcomes and equity. If NEP is genuinely implemented, all our children will have a better future," he tweeted.
