Too much! Jagan warns three media houses

In his first-ever speech as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Jaganmohan Reddy did the unthinkable by taking the names of particular media houses and warning them.
The new CM of Andhra Pradesh described the Telugu-language dailies Eenadu and Andhra Jyoti and the electronic media house TV5 as "yellow media". He did this after unambiguously castigating them as pro-Chandrababu Naidu. "They find only Chandrababu Naidu garu as impressive," he said.
The most shocking part of the speech came later. The YSRCP supremo suggested that these media houses will be made to submit before a High Court judge if they spread "falsehoods" regarding any government tenders. They will be made to pay damages.
To put it mildly, this is quite a sweeping assertion by the CM. Nobody can be sure about what standards and criteria will be deployed to determine whether a media house has lied about a tender. There is going to be a backlash from the Fourth Estate against this open threat!
