Action movies are the most preferred genre by most people around the globe and no wonder action heroes are the most popular compared to the dramatic ones. That's why over the years Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Jackie Chan enjoy a loyal fan following even to this day.
After the old guns in the younger generation, it is Tony Jaa who has caught the eye of the action lovers with his gravity defying stunts and mindblowing pyrotechnics. Especially his films like “Ong-Bak” and “Tom-Yum-Goong” series are some of the best action films any day. He has also made inroads in Hollywood appearing in films like 'Fast and Furious 7', 'XXX - Return of Xander Cage' and others.
Tony Jaa in playing the lead role in the upcoming fantasy entertainer 'Monster Hunter' based on the video game and during its promotions has shared his relationship with Indian films.
Tony Jaa has stated "“I know Bollywood really well, and all the action movies… (I know) Tiger Shroff, Vidyut Jammwal, Rana (Daggubati), Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. I know them really well because I watch Bollywood movies and am a big fan. I (also) like Hanuman… (he is a) superhero". When asked if he would like to play the mythical god he immediately said yes.
Jaa further added "I would like to become a superhero for DC or Marvel… that’s my dream. I would like to play a superhero like Spider-Man or Batman or Deadpool. I like movies by these studios. This is my dream. If my dream comes true, it is good,”
'Monster Hunter' is slated for release in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu on February 4th and has the cast of Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip "T. I." Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au-Yeung and Ron Perlman.
