The film industry is one of the worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic and since shootings are not happening thousands of workers and their families are being pushed into poverty. The theaters that have downed shutters for the past four months have also been severely affected. Though there have been many representations to the government has been made the TN authorities have been reluctant to give permission to theaters to resume operation.
Meanwhile Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' released in a staggered manner in Europe on August 26th. Global superstar Tom Cruise made a visit to a theater to watch it and has given the film two thumbs up. He has also released a video in which he is seen wearing a mask and saying "“Here we are, back to the movies,”.
Cruise is also seen applauding during the show and when departing tells the near full crowd "“Great to be back in the theater everyone.”. The action hero is in the UK to film his 'Mission Impossible 7' directed by Christopher Mcquarrie and is resuming shooting after it was stalled in Italy due to COVID 19 in March.
'Tenet' directed by Christopher Nolan has ohn David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh and our Dimple Kapadia in the cast. Most of the initial reviews for the film is positive and is set to become a huge blockbuster hit in spite of the coronavirus effect.
The theater in London in spite of drizzle is near full showing that 'Tenet' has managed to pull in the crowds back and hopefully will do well in the US too when it opens on September 3rd. Warner Bros India has not set a date for release in India but fans are hoping for to catch it soon and that too only on big screens.
