Tollywood stars aid for Chennai Flood victims

Tollywood stars Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Ravi Teja, Kalyan Ram, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej and Sampoornesh Babu have donated financial aid to the flood battered Chennai. While Allu Arjun donated Rs 25 lakhs, Mahesh Babu and NTR have contributed Rs 10 lakh each to the flood hit victims. Ravi Teja and Kalyan Ram have offered Rs 5 lakh each and mega heroes Sai Dharam Tej and Varun Tej have pledged to donate Rs 3 lakh to the victims of Chennai rains.

"I am pledging an amount of Rs 10 lakhs for the Tamil Nadu cyclone relief fund. I hope and pray for the recovery of those who have been affected by this terrible natural disaster. Hope, everything comes back to normalcy soon," reads a statement from Mahesh Babu. Producer Kolagatla Pratap has donated Rs 1 lakh to the needy.

The donations of these stars will be handed over to the Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers Relief Fund. Besides contributing, the stars have urged their fans and the audiences to help the victims in whatever way they can.

The relief work has begun in the affected areas with several NGOs, army and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are participating in the rescue and relief operations.
