Actor Vijay Sethupathi's latest release 'Sethupathi' is marching towards the super hit status as it has completed two successful weeks in the box office and marching ahead to the third. The film has also strengthened Vijay Sethupathi's image as a action hero.

Now we learn from reliable sources that the film has become a hot property in Telugu remake circles. Generally successful cop films have always evinced a good interest among Telugu audience. Blockbuster Tamil cop flicks like 'Sami' and 'Kaakha Kaakha' have been remade in Telugu. So there is nothing strange if 'Sethupathi' which deals with the professional and personal life of an invincible police officer goes to Telugu and creates huge success.

Sources reveal that Tollywood star Venkatesh is eager to reprise Vijay Sethupathi's role in the remake. We can expect an official announcement once the Producer and director are finalized.

It is worth recalling that Venkatesh acted in 'Gharsana', the Telugu remake 'Kaakha Kaakha'.
