In the recent past, the actress has gained a lot of success and fame with her Bollywood debut Pink and now she is being roped in for many future projects both in Tollywood and Bollywood. You`d expect someone who got so much success in Bollywood and offers pouring in, would give up on south cinema and focus just on Bollywood projects.

But that doesn`t seem to be the case with Tapsee.

In a recent interview with 'iDream', she opened up about the controversies surrounding her role to fulfil the likes of both Bollywood and Tollywood fans.

She says "not necessarily everything revolved, for me, around the glamour quotient (in Tollywood)"

"I have done versatile roles in Telugu movies and I don`t think any of my roles were monotonous. If you look at my previous projects in Telugu, be it Saahsam`, Mr.Perfect` or anything in between, none of those roles were similar. It had versatility. But the glamour point became the centre of attention despite my effort to break that image. I wanted to be taken seriously but my "glam image" was the only image that was focused more on..." she explains how her statements were misconstrued previously.

"Just because I am doing Bollywood movies, doesn`t mean that I am not going to Tollywood movies..." she explains her back and forth juggle with Bollywood and Tollywood.

"See...in the recent past, there were many telugu heroines, who did movies in hindi and never came back because it worked for them. Some came back because Bollywood didn`t work out for them. Not everyone could sustain in Bollywood for that long. I didn`t come back because my films are not working in Hindi. And i didn`t leave Tollywood because my films are working in Hindi," says Taapsi.

"I came back because this is where I started my journey as an actress. This is my homeland. I respect it and I cherish it." She reasons.

Welcome back Taapsi...
