Sandalwood superstar Puneeth Rajkumar's untimely demise has left the Telugu film industry shocked. Earlier today, the actor passed away at 46 in a Bengaluru hospital after suffering a heart attack. Several Telugu film celebs have put out condolence messages in his memory.

Chiranjeevi described the news as shocking, devastating and heartbreaking. The actor extended his deepest sympathies and tearful condolences to the bereaved family, and described Puneeth's demise as a huge loss to the Kannada and Indian film fraternity. Jr NTR described it as a heart-breaking moment. Ram Charan tweeted, "Unable to digest. He was one of the warmest and most genuine persons I have met. My deepest condolences to his family and fans! We will miss you a lot, dear brother."

Pawan Kalyan noted that Puneeth took forward the legacy of his late father, the legendary Rajkumar. The Jana Sena chief also mentioned Puneeth's wide filmography.

Mahesh Babu said that he is shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news of Puneeth Rajkumar's demise. "One of the most humble people I've met and interacted with. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones," the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor further wrote. SS Rajamouli talked about the departed soul's hospitality, humble and down-to-earth nature.

Senior actor Mohan Babu tweeted that he is shocked. "One of the most humble people I've met and interacted with. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones," he added. Manchu Vishnu tweeted that he refuses to believe the news. Satyadev Kancharana tweeted, "Deepest condolences to his family and to the millions of fans."

Dr. Rajasekhar tweeted, "Heartbreaking! Gone too soon. My condolences to his family, friends and fans. May his soul rest in peace." 'Virata Parvam' actor Rana Daggubati tweeted, "Gone too soon brother!! Extremely shocked and saddened."

Filmmaker Meher Ramesh described Puneeth as a Veera Kannadiga. "Puneeth Rajkumar sir is no more! Can’t believe this heart breaking devastating news. Gone too soon. Lost my Dearest Hero &Brother (sic)," he added. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi wrote, "Gone too soon but the memory of you will always be in our hearts!"

Vyjayanthi Movies tweeted that it is a huge loss to the Indian film fraternity. Actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood said that he will always miss Puneeth. Nandamuri Kalyanram tweeted that he is speechless.

Multi-lingual actor Prakash Raj tweeted that the day is a Black Friday. "I am shattered. This is not fair," he added.
