The brutal charring to death of the Hyderabad-based vet doctor Priyanka Reddy (26) by Mohammed Pasha and others has sent shock waves. Telugu film celebs are expressing outrage and shock over the mind-numbing assault on the woman.
Taking to Twitter, Natural Star Nani said, "We can’t even demand justice because no matter what punishment is served to the ones who did this, it’s still not justified. RIP? Can she? I just feel so angry and helpless. Requesting the media to be sensitive to the family."
Vijay Deverakonda noted, "I have had to stay on the phone while a member of the family or friend felt unsafe. It's one of the scariest situations to be in. We all need to take responsibility for the boys/men in our homes, our friends, and our surroundings. Stand up to any wrong behaviour, correct them, make them understand. And those who don't behave like humans don't deserve human rights. Give them what they deserve. Please spread this message far and wide. Our lives are the most important. Don't hesitate to call the cops at 100/112 for any help."
'Angry Star' Dr. Rajasekhar said that he is heartbroken. "The ones responsible must be punished, how long will this go on? How many more souls should we lose! the media and others on the internet are being shameless! Where are your ethics and morals? Sharing images of the victim.. .. How insensitive are you! Give the families some space, let them mourn! Stop surrounding them with your cameras and mics. As a father of two girls, my heart goes out to the families, I hope they find the strength to cope with the loss #PriyankaReddy and #Manasa deserve justice."
Sai Dharam Tej tweeted out, "Angry. Saddened. Shocked. Speechless. Hearing such heart-wrenching news even today is absolutely disturbing. Let us work together as a society to bring a change and put an end to this barbarism."
Kajal Aggarwal said that she is so furious. "Wonder if there's any safe place whatsoever. Tragic to see women victimised every day. Capital punishment to the guilty is a must. Adequate safety is the need of the hour. Let's not wait for a situation to become an emergency."
