Nithin has said quite a few times that it was Pawan Kalyan's 'Toli Prema' that made him want to become an actor. He watched it on a loop at a theatre in Hyderabad's RTC X Roads back in the late 1990s. Mesmerized by Power Star's performance and the film's unique sensibilities, the youngster made up his mind to try his luck as an actor.
What about the 'Arjun Reddy' star? It was a Mahesh Babu film that inspired Vijay Deverakonda to become an actor. The film is 'Pokiri', the 2006 blockbuster. "When I watched it at a theatre, no dialogue was audible for the first 45 minutes. Such was the frenzy in the hall. I told myself that the film was special," the actor said, thanking the 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' star for releasing the trailer of 'Meeku Maathrame Cheptha'.
"It was my father who requested Mahesh sir to release the trailer and he immediately said OK," VD, who awaits the release of 'World Famous Lover', said.
