Union Road Transport Minister Pon Radhakrishnan has said that he had informed Tamil Nadu chief-minister Edapadi K. Palaniswami about ‘secret training’ being imparted to terrorists in some parts of the State.
“I didn’t express my opinion about the prevailing law and order scenario in the State but only brought to the notice of the chief-minister the information I received from a source that training for terrorists was being imparted in some parts of the State,” Ponnar told newsmen after his meeting with the Tamil Nadu chief-minister.
Ponnar also revealed that he discussed about the proposed Port to come up in Tamil Nadu in Tuticorin District. “Law and order is not my subject and I didn’t discuss this with the chief-minister,” he asserted.
On another note, the Minister expressed his opinion that it would only be in the interest of the people of the State if the AIADMK Government works in tandem with the BJP-led Centre.
