Marking the completion of 25 years of NDTV channel, the management of the news channel has selected 25 Greatest Living Indians by conducting an online poll.

The list of 25 greatest Indians included Bollywood icons Amithab Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, senior actor Waheeda Rahma, Oscar winning Music Composer A.R.Rahman, Superstar Rajnikanth, Cricketing Icon Sachin Tendulkar among others.All the winners were presented an award by Mr.Pranab Mukharjee, the honourable President of India at an event held recently.

After receiving the award for being one of the greatest Indians alive, our Superstar Rajnikanth gave an emotional speech. He said it is a Miraculous change in his life for climbing up to the dais sharing space with some of the greatest legends, from being a bus conductor.

The star known for his modesty and simplicity, dedicated the award to his Parents, elder brother Sathyanarayana Gaekwad, Mentor Director K.Balachander and of course the people of Tamilnadu without whose affection and support he feels he could not have made such an achievement.
