A strange incident has come to light in Karnataka. The students of Bhagat Pre-University College in Haveri were reportedly made to wear cardboard boxes during an exam. This was meant to prevent them from copying. It was a lab exam. Since it's easy for examinees to copy by looking at the neighbour's computer monitor, the examiners came up with this peculiar idea.

Reports say that the State Education Department has sought an explanation from the college management.

Many have opined that it's quite insulting that the students were made to wear the boxes. "It's cheap and dehumanizing. The students should have refused to be made to do that. In Hyderabad, the girl students of a college staged demonstrations for days when the management imposed a dress code. The sensitivities of students have to be kept in mind," a Facebook user says.
