The IT department earlier in May conducted a raid at Health Minister Vijayabaskar`s residence at Pudukkottai and Trichy owing to allegations of involvement in cash for vote and also tax not being paid.

After two months since the raid, the Income Tax department has now frozen the assets of Vijayabaskar which includes a 100 acre land and a stone quarry. The assets include that of the minister and his direct relatives.
