As the Coronavirus pandemic is impacting the country in a large scale, with more than 40000 cases, Tamil Nadu is facing a massive growth in the number of cases with every passing day.

The Koyambedu cluster has amounted to more than 90% of the cases in the past few days, and yesterday alone there were a total of 527 cases in the state. Even as Koyambedu gives rise to numerous cases in the state, TN govt has announced opening of TASMAC from May 7.

Slamming this move, actor and Makkal needhi maiam president Kamal Haasan has tweeted "This government which is unable to control the Koyambedu chain of infection and increased the Coronavirus cases is now opening TASMAC. Are the ones ruling not understanding that every mistake they commit are taking lives?".
