NEET exam was introduced by the central government in the year 2013, ever since TN government was against this and requested to cancel this eligibility test but to no avail. The future of many students became a huge question mark and as the protest strengthened, a panel headed by Justice A. K Rajan was set up to find a solution to the long sufferings of MBBS aspirants.
Earlier a mail id was shared to the public to send their opinions, and predicaments to the assigned team. It was also said that the panel will read all the emails sent and make decisions accordingly.
While TN lost many young lives to the cruelty of NEET, Education minister K. Ponmudi in a recent press conference promised that "NEET examination will be cancelled after the law is passed on the recommendation of K. Rajan's committee". Though his oath has come out as a happy news for the aspirants and parents, we will have to wait until it is made official.
