Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s mother Thavusayammal passed away yesterday. The 93 year old had been unwell for the last few days. Following her demise, the CM rushed to his hometown in Salem to pay last respects.

Many political personalities and celebrities shared their condolences, and following superstar Rajnikanth, actor - director Raghava Lawrence took to social media page to express his condolences to the CM.

Raghava Lawrence posted “I feel bad after hearing the news about our Honourable Chief Minister Eddapadi k Palaniswami sir’s mother Thavusayammal’s demise. When I met our CM last year, he praised me on building a temple for my mother and he also shared how much he loved his mother for more than an hour. I know this is a huge loss for him. I pray for his mother’s soul to rest in peace.”
