Tamilisai had severly condemend the ‘GST’ dialogue in the film threatening to file case if the makers don’t remove the scene from the film.
T.K.S Elangovan also stated that everybody including the off screen technicians of ‘Mersal’ had every right to criticize and express their opinion on a government.
Quoting that the law makes it possible for people to criticize the government openly he also added that if a particular individual is defamed he could approach court. But ‘Mersal’ has only criticized the present government.
“It is a fundamental democratic right to criticize the government around the world. If Tamilisai wants to go against it, it only means her involovment in anti-national activities,” Elangovan said.
