'Titli' director gets thrilling surprise at Cannes

Kanu Behl, the director of ‘Titli’, had a fan moment when the Iranian filmmaker, Abbas Kiarostami made his presence at a special screening of the film at Cannes.

The director, Kanu was pleasantly surprised to have the well renowned filmmaker, Abbas Kiarostami, somebody he looks up to, watch his work. Abbas is one of the most celebrated filmmakers we have and his coming for the screening made it even more special for Kanu.

Confirming the news a source added that Kanu got a chance to briefly interact with him and discuss cinema.

Incidentally, ‘Titli’ is the only selection from India this year to be featured at Cannes in the Uncertain Regard section.
