Title of Akshay Kumar's upcoming horror-comedy flick 'Laxmmi Bomb' has now been changed to 'Laxmmi'. This step was taken after a number of Hindu groups protested against the title 'Laxmmi Bomb' as it supposedly hurt the religious sentiments of Hindu community by insulting the goddess of wealth Lakshmi.
The film has been a center of controversies about its content and name since the beginning. The film reportedly went for Censor certification today and makers decided to alter the title to safeguard the religious sentiments of viewers after a discussion Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
'Laxmmi' is a remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Kanchana' directed by Raghav Lawrence. It stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani.
