Title revealed for film based on Shankar murder case

Numerous films in Tamil cinema has brought important social issues to the forefront by taking real incidents and forging them into a powerful story for the masses. One recent expample is Karthi's 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' that delved into the workings of Tamil Nadu police to nix the notorious Bawaria dacoits.
Following suit, a film in making is based on the honor killing of the Dalit youth Shankar which created national frenzy. Only yesterday was the final judgement was given to the accused with 6 of them slammed with death penality. The makers of the film released the poster for the film revealing the title.
'Maratha Samugam' is the name of the film. Pankaj.S.Balaji wil lbe wielding the megaphone for this film. It is expected that full cast and crew details of the film will be announced shortly.
