Tiruparangunram Panguni Festival: Chariot Festival!

Madurai: The Chariot, the main event of the Panguni Festival, which is being held at Tiruparangunram Subramania Swamy Temple, was held today with great fanfare. Thousands of devotees pulled Lord Muruga on the chariot and blessed the devotees.

Chariot:
This morning, special abhishekams were performed for Murugan and Deivanai at the Utsavar shrine. Subsequently, at 5.30 Lord Muruga got up in a chariot in a special decoration. The devotees pulled the rope. Devotees were enthralled by the swaying of the Chariot along the Kriwalabathi.

Panguni Festival:

In this ceremony which started with the flag hoisting on the 15th, Lord Muruga appeared daily in various vehicles and blessed the devotees. The Murugan-Theivanai Thirukalyanam held yesterday received great response among the devotees.

Devotee Participation:

Ganesha got up in a small chariot before the chariot. Thousands of devotees pulled the chariot by a rope and had darshan of Swami. Devotees were offered milk and food at Tiruparangunram before the Chariot.
