Tips Music has signed on ace music director Anu Malik for their forthcoming home production, going on floors in early 2007. Anu Malik has worked with Tips Music previously too with films like ‘Ishq Vishq’, ‘Fida’, and ‘Soldier’, whereas their association goes back to the days of films like ‘Najayaz’ and ‘Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Ayee’, for which Tips had bought the rights as an audio company.

Anu Malik has had quite a good 2006, with hits like ‘Jaan-e-mann’, ‘Zindaggi Rocks’, ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’ and ‘Umrao Jaan’. Though it was a bit of a dampener when this rumour started doing the rounds that the music of ‘Jaanemann’ has actually been composed by its arranger GV Prakash (Nephew of A R Rahman). Let’s see how Anu bounces back in 2007 with some ‘original’ numbers.
