With #MeToo spreading like wildfire in the country, women are revealing their horrifying experiences. More shocking is the fact that the perpetrators hold important offices and responsibilities. The latest shocking update is about the Times of India Resident Editor KR Sreenivas after multiple sexual allegations.
Several women had complained KR Sreenivas of sending them lewd messages, sexual gestures, mental torture and even touching them inappropriately as well. Sreenivas has been sent on an administrative leave and this comes off as a great shock after the sacking of Hindustan Times’ Prashant Jha. It should be also noted that in the complaints filed by the seven women, Sreenivas used his position of power as he could make the careers of these women go for worse.
"The internal complaints committee of BCCL is looking into concerns that have been brought to our notice about KR Sreenivas. To ensure a fair and impartial inquiry, he has been asked to proceed on administrative leave pending closure of the inquiry," a TOI letter to its employees has stated.
