Time has come today where we can have difficult conversations. - Nushrratt Bharuccha

Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, who made a name for herself by starring in romcoms, has now shifted her attention towards women centric films. Her last film 'Chhorii' dealt with the issue of female infanticide and soon she'll be seen portraying a condom salesperson in the film 'Janhit Me Jaari'. In a recent media interaction, Nushrratt talked about the changing perspective of women in Bollywood and in social context of our country.

Sharing how things have changed for women, Bharuccha told PTI, "Time has come today where we can have difficult conversations and I don't think it is limited to cinema. Even in office space, a woman can talk about having periods and taking a day off. There are more conversations that women can have in their lives and workplace."

The actress then shared how her last film 'Chhorii' changed the way filmmakers perceived her. She said, "Post the release of 'Chhorii' I was offered three more movies led by women, this for me is a success. Because if more producers and directors are willing to put money in, it means they have earned some returns. The fact that the team is willing to make 'Chhori', gives me an indication that it was a success."

'Janhit Me Jaari' will release theatrically on 10th of June.
