A young fitness instructor, identified as Mohit Mor, who was famous on TikTok and Instagram, was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in Delhi last year. Two gangsters from a village in Punjab have now been arrested in connection with the crime.
"Vikas (27) and Rohit Dagar (30), suspected sharpshooters of the infamous Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang, were held from Punjab on Monday," the police reportedly stated. Mohit Mor was a fitness instructor and trainer who had over half a million subscribers on TikTok and over 3000 followers on Instagram. He was talking to his friend in a shop near his residence in Najafgarh's Dharmpura area when three men entered the shop and fired 13 bullets at Mohit, fatally injuring him. "When Mohit Mor was busy talking with his friend inside the shop, three armed persons barged inside the shop and indiscriminately fired 13 bullets on him. Mohit Mor fell on a sofa kept inside the shop. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Mohit Mor suffered 7 bullets. All the three accused, one of them wearing a black helmet, had come on a Scooty. They were seen in a CCTV footage running away from the busy narrow street after the crime," a senior police officer had reportedly mentioned last year.
"A raid was conducted in the area and accused Vikas along with his associate Rohit Dagar was apprehended from there after a chase. On the information given by the duo during investigation, two pistols along with five live cartridges were recovered from Delhi's Milakpur," an investigating officer has now said, adding that further investigation of the matter is currently underway.
