Famous Egyptian belly-dancer Sama el-Masry has been sentenced to three years in prison after prosecutors said that she had posted sexually suggestive videos on the popular video sharing platform TikTok.
42 year old El-Masry was arrested in April on charges of inciting debauchery and committing immorality by posting such content on Tik tok platform. However El Mastry had denied sharing the videos on Tik tok and accused that the content was stolen from her phone and was shared by someone without consent.
John Talaat who is a member of parliament had demanded legal action against El-Mastry and many female TikTok users, accusing that the belly dancer and female social media influencers affected family values and traditions and that they're not knowing the difference between freedom and debauchery.
