Microsoft loses bid, Oracle to take over Tik Tok in US!

The owner of TikTok has preferred Oracle over Microsoft as its partner to buy the popular video-sharing app as per a source monitoring with the deal and not authorized to speak publicly about it.

Microsoft declared yesterday that its bid for TikTok was rejected, removing them from the running a week before President Donald Trump promised to bring a ban on the Chinese app in the U.S. citing spying.

Earlier, the Trump administration threatened to ban TikTok by Sept. 20 and ordered ByteDance to sell its U.S. business. While Tik tok denied any data security breaches, the US government had claimed breach of privacy and lack of safety of user data in the Chinese app.
