US President Donald Trump has given a strong warning that the video platform TikTok will be banned in the US from September 15 if ByteDance, its parent company, doesn't sell it and provide funds to the US Treasure Department.

Earlier, Trump had announced banning the app on August 2. Trump’s new threat follows the news of Microsoft involved in negotiations for a 45-day window to acquire Tik tok.

The US president announced that he believes that Microsoft or any American company should buy TikTok. Trump also added that whichever American company buying Tik Tok must buy the whole company from ByteDance and not just the company operations in US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
