Tik Tok ban Madras High Court's sensational order
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
The Madras High Court has lifted the interim ban on the Tik Tok app with conditions that the Chinese owners of the company would hold good their promise of having regulatory mechanisms to filter pornographic and sleazy content. The court also warned Tik Tok that if their mechanisms are found to be ineffective it would amount to contempt of court and attract severe legal actions.
The central government had banned the downloading of Tik Tok from April 18th onwards but after the court directive it can now be used as usual by the public but with prudence, as advised in the order.
