The makers of 'Thuppakki' have come forward to delete a few scenes from the movie, which earned the wrath of Muslim organizations for allegedly portraying their religion in badlight.

After Muslim organizations expressed their opposition to the movie and announced protests against Vijay and A R Murugadoss, the protagonist and director of the film respectively, the Tamil Nadu government jumped into action on Thursday.

Chief Secretary Debendranath Sarangi invited Murugadoss, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and representatives of Muslim outfits to the Secretariat and held talks with them.

At the end of the discussion, it was agreed to delete some scenes from the movie. "Though we don't have any intention to hurt the sentiments of anyone, we agreed to delete the scenes to avoid controversies," said a source close to the film's unit.
