Office-bearers of Indian National League, led by the party's State general secretary Abdul Rahim, on Monday presented a memorandum at the Home Secretary's office in the Secretariat, seeking a ban on 'Thuppakki'.

They alleged that some controversial scenes from the Vijay-starrer film, which portrayed Muslims in bad light, were not deleted from the movie despite an assurance from its makers.

"When we protested against the movie last week, its makers assured us that they would delete the scenes which hurt our sentiments. But they failed to honour their promise," they said.

Directed by A R Murugadoss, the movie produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu had Vijay in the role of an Army Captain, who fights terrorists and saves Mumbai.
