The biggest box office clash that the film world has been waiting for is all but confirmed as an official source has given the positive word. Yes we are talking about the much hyped 'Thunivu vs 'Varisu' clash that is going to happen on Pongal 2023.

We broke the news first to you of the possibility of a rare Ajith vs Vijay box office clash long back and the past few days several news outlets have carried the reports. Today top film distributor and the president of the Tamil Distributors Union, Tirupur Subramaniam has confirmed that both the films will be out for Pongal. He further confirmed that 'Thunivu' will arrive on January 12th while 'Varisu' will hit the screens a day later on the 13th. He assured that both the superstars films will have equal screen count.

'Thunivu' is directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor with Ajith and Manju Warrier playing the lead pair On the other hand 'Varisu' is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju with Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna heading the cast alongwith an ensemble cast. Lets wait for the official confirmation of both the films releases which trade pundits swear will be out on Diwali day.
