The trailer of Ajith's heist thriller Thunivu was released as a New Year special on December 31 evening. The trailer, which is one minute and 51 seconds long, gave a glimpse of Ajith's character in the action entertainer. Now the latest update is that the trailer has broken the record for Beast trailer.

Taking to his official Twitter handle producer Boney Kapoor informed that the trailer has crossed 30 million real time views. "A rage that just hasn't settled. The #ThunivuTrailer hits 30 MILLION+ views in just 24 hours - extraordinary," he wrote.

The film is directed by H Vinoth and the star cast includes Ajith, Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, GM Sundar, Mahanadhi Shankar, John Kokken, Veera, Ajay, Bhagavathi Perumal to name a few.

Music for the film is by Ghibran and three songs from the album, Chilla Chilla, Kasethan Kadavulada and Gangstaa have already gone on to become massive hits. Cinematography is by Nirav Shah and editing is by Vijay Velukutty. The film will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies and is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.
