Thunivu marks the third consecutive collaboration of Ajith with director H Vinoth and producer Boney Kapoor. The film's star cast also includes Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, Veera, Ajay, John Kokken, GM Sundar, Mahanadhi Shankar, Cibi Chandran, Amir, Pavni and others.

The technical team includes Ghibran as the music director, Nirav Shah as the cinematographer, Vijay Velukutty as the editor and Supreme Sundar as the stunt choreographer. Thunivu will hit the theatres on Pongal 2023.
