It is well aware that Devisri Prasad is one among the top young music directors and most of his tunes have become popular and many films became musical hits under his musical direction. So far, he did not get any opportunity to work with the prestigious banner Suresh Productions. He got the chance now in the form of 'Tulasi'.
Moreover, this is the first ever combination of Venkatesh with Devisri Prasad. Keeping in view the subject of the film and the director's statement that Venkatesh would have a different youthful look, Devisri Prasad also chose to give youthful songs, while maintaining the melody as it is also a family entertainer. It is a right mix of melody and youthful tunes.
Tula Tula Tulasi
Singers: Tippu, Priya
Lyricist : Chandrabose
Devisri Prasad who is known for giving youthful music, used traditional instrument like veena and added guitar string voice in the beginning of this title song. The drumbeat gives the foot-tapping mood. The speciality of the song is that Devisri Prasad ensured that the voice of singers would be very clear. Before the second stanza, he used flute, violin voices with drumbeat (dappu voice). The veena music that was used in the beginning continued all through the song and ended with the same tune.
Vennelintha
Singers: Venu, Sunitha
Lyricist: Chandrabose
This is yet another melodious number in the album again penned by Chandrabose. The literary value is rich in this duet. Keyboard was used to produce the typical voice at the start of the tune. The entire tune goes in a melody pattern. Though guitar and other modern instruments were used before the first stanza, the music director continued the drumbeat all through the first stanza to maintain the melody. Before the second stanza, a little speed music could be noticed with mouth organ sounds, after the mellifluous humming by Sunitha.
Nee Kallathoti
Singers: Sagar, Chitra
Lyricist: Bhaskarabatla
Piano was used to start this melodious duet. Chitra, the melody queen, had a perfect sync to the male singer Sagar. Traditional tabla voice continued before the stanza, coupled with piano and guitar tunes. This song is also rich in literary values. It appears to be a romantic song. Before the second stanza, there is a folk voice followed by shehnai sound that ends with guitar voice. The song ended with violin tune of the same lyric.
Mia Mia
Singers: Naveen, Mamta Mohandas
Lyricist: Chandrabose
This is a youthful number. The song begins with a whistle and the humming by Devisri Prasad. Though Naveen rendered the song, the voice of Devisri Prasad could also be heard in the form of humming. Chandrabose used Telugu, English and Hindi words of his choice to give a youthful feel. Trumpet was used before the first stanza to give a chance to the artistes to show their dancing skills. It appears that it is a teasing kind of song as hinted by Mamata Mohandas' voice. Devisri Prasad also chose Mamata Mohandas for this typical song. Use of keyboard and piano could be noticed before the second stanza.
Hello Boys
Singer: Devi Sri Prasad
Lyricist: Chandrabose
It is well aware that the film also has child sentiment. It looks the director sought the lyricist that he needed a song involving a hero and a child. So Chandrabose instead of using the same old moon, flowers etc., chose the new choices of spiderman, rainbow, genie and the like. The
