'Thugs Of Hindostan' has scripted history at the box-office on Day 1. It netted a box-office collection of Rs. 52.25 cr (the Telugu and Tamil versions have contributed Rs. 1.5 Cr) on Thursday in India.
It released in about 5000 screens in India and 2000 screens overseas. The figure is the highest Day 1 collections that any Diwali release has achieved in the history of Bollywood. Beyond, it's the highest Day 1 figure for a Hindi film.
In 2018, among Hindi films, if the Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan film is at the highest, 'Sanju' comes second and it's a distant Rs. 34.75 Cr. 'Race 3', 'Gold' and 'Baaghi-2' are the next ones.
The film has to pass the Friday test today after having been drubbed by almost all reviews in the English media.
