Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for ‘Thug Life’, the gangster action film in which he reunited with director Mani Ratnam. The team officially announced that actor Simbu onboarded the movie. A hot buzz suggests that the film has done a record trade after the entry of STR.
According to the reports, the asking rate for the Thug Life overseas rights was initially around 40-45 crores. As the film got bigger with Simbu’s addition, the overseas rights were recently sold for a whopping 60 crores. This is a new record price for a Kollywood film. The producers confirmed that the action saga will hit the screens this year.
Sources tell us that ‘Thug Life’ is aimed to hit the screens by December around Christmas time. The star cast comprises Kamal Haasan, Simbu, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhirami, Nassar, Vaiyapuri and others. AR Rahman is composing the musical score with DOP by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
