After an enchanting opening that marked his previous movie `'Anwar'' as a hit even with a few weeks run on theatres, young star Prithviraj is getting ready with his new movie titled `Thriller'. Planned as a thriller as the name suggests, this movie is a suspenseful investigation into one of the notorious murder mysteries of recent times.

Scripted and directed by B Unnikrishnan famous for the Mohanlal hit `'Maadambi'', `Thriller' will have Prithviraj donning the role of Niranjan, a deputy commissioner of Police, tracking a murderer who killed a business bigwig on a highway. Newcomer Prajan plays Simon Palathingal, an young entrepreneur who is found dead in the highway on his vehicle. As the news hogs headlines, the tough and canny cop Nirajan DCP is put in charge of the case, which offer very few clues.

Though Prithviraj had been in Khakhi many times, he  is for the first time cast as a senior police officer who is ready to crack a specific case in `Thriller'. The movie is said to be a multi layered mystery corroborating a lot of rare investigative methods with precision to end up as a breathless rollercoaster ride of suspense.

Tamil actor Sambath is cast in a negative role while Katherine and Mallika Kapoor plays the female leads of the movie. Lalu Alex , Vijayaragahavan and Siddhique are also part of the movie which is cinematographed by Dharani.

`Thriller' also introduces debutantes in music departments, Dharan as music director and Harinarayanan as lyricist. The highlights of the movie include a title song sung by MamtaMohandas, which is shot ala sequences in a James Bond film.

The movie which is said to have bagged big amounts for Satellite rights is expected to be a safe hit at the Box Office. Produced by Sabu Cherian, the movie will be brought to theatres this month.
