A thriller ‘Pagade’, comedy film ‘Aane Pataki’, Action feast in ‘Kumbha Raashi’ with sentiments are the three films hitting the silver screen this Friday.

All the three producers are debutants to Kannada cinema. Aane Pataki Roopa Suresh and Suresh Babu, Annappa of ‘Pagade’ and Siddu Patil and Nagamma of ‘Kumbha Raashi’ have invested from Rs.1.5 crores to Rs.2.5 crores. Fortunately there is no big film this week. All are moderate films but two of the three films directors are making debut.

Among the heroines Parvathi Nirbang from ‘Aane Pataki’ and Gamya from ‘Pagade’ are entering the filmdom. There are two new music directors – Dharma Vish from Aane Pataki, Srivatsa from Kumbha Raashi and Sagar Nagabhushan of ‘Pagade’ worked before.

‘Aane Pataki’ is a hilarious comedy of Ananya and Aishwarya Creations. Chandrasekhar Bandiappa has done multiple tasks besides direction. Rajendra Karanth penned the pun required for the film. Srujan Lokesh, Parvathi Nirbang, Jai Jagadish, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Tabla Naani, Bullet Prakash, Somanna Jadar, Akul, Cable Anand and others are in the cast.

A thriller ‘Pagade’ a must watch for its 25 minutes as described by producer HV Annappa is based on a real life finding that Harshavardhana converted in to a story. There another significant move on the part of director that relates to ‘Desi and Videsi’ aspect. Purushottam after a few devotional films is director of this commercial venture. Gauri Venkatesh is cameraman and Sagar Nagabhushan scored music.

Vishwas Bharadwaj, Gamya, Dharma, Ashok, Ravishanker, Achyuth Kumar, Srinivasa Prabhu, Srinath Vasishta, Yethiraj, Tennis Krishna, Honnavalli Krishna and others are in the cast.

Action cum sentiment film is ‘Kumbha Raashi’ starring Chetan Chandra in eight packs and Roopika as female lead. Chandrahasa has directed this tale of woes that turn up a fortune for the protagonist in the end.

8 packs of Chetan Chandra is another specialty of this film. Srivatsa music has two tunes already in the hit list. Jai Anand is cameraman.

Sharat Lohitashva, Gururaj Hoskote, Harish Roy, Mohan Juneja, Biradar are in the supporting cast.
