Three years for Rajamouli's child

It didn't have a Rajinikanth or a Kamalhaasan as the hero. It had no Vijay or Ajith. Yet immense craze was Baahubali's even before its shoot commenced. That's because of Rajamouli's stamina. That's also because of the genre. That's, not to forget, also because of the pan-Indian sounding title. As time progressed, this crazy venture, which commenced its shoot three years ago on this day, went on to become an all-Indian rage weeks before it hit the screens.
Everything about Baahubali has only been on an ascending order. Right from the pre-release business, pre-release hype, post-release hype, post-release BO records, the number of countries in which it has been released, Rajamouli's humongous popularity, appreciation and recognition (a National Award for Best Feature Film, no less), the standing of its actors (especially Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj and Anushka) - they have all been on an ascension.
"Three years ago today, we began the shoot for our epic Baahubali. Thank you everyone for being a part of this journey," producer Shobhu Yarlagadda said on Twitter.
The second and final edition is going to hit the screens in April 2017. Meanwhile, don't forget what Vijayendra Prasad has said about the world called Baahubali - it's a world in which many more stories will be spun, although the current story will be concluded in the second part. Shall we wait for a Harry Potter-like saga to unfold in the coming years?
