Three members of a family die of COVID-19

A 78-year-old Keralite woman named Eliamma Joseph died on Friday due to COVID-19 in America. This is the third COVID-19 death in Eliamma's family. Earlier this month, Eliyamma's husband K J Joseph, and brother-in-law Eapen Joseph who were getting treated for the disease also died of COVID-19. Eliyamma's two children are currently undergoing treatment in New York after they tested positive for coronavirus.

Reportedly, 22 Keralites have died in the United States alone so far. While Kerala has recorded just 3 COVID-19 deaths to date, the number of Malayalees who has succumbed to pandemic abroad is over 40.
