Already 80 plus films in the last six months, three weeks, the coming week three Kannada films – Meshtru, Nam Aeriyal Ondina and Banni are set for release.

Dynamic hero Devaraj and Bhanupriya starring ‘Meshtru’ is a real life story from writer turned director Mahadevu. How a teacher transforms a rowdy is the crux of this film. Veteran Telugu actress Bhanupriya is coming back to Kannada after a long time. ‘Meshtru’ is produced by Satish, Manju and Medical Manju. KM Indra has scored the music and BL Babu is the cameraman.

The first Kannada film shot in Wiper Camera by ace cameraman Ashok Cashyap (presently shooting for Upendra’s ‘Super’ in London) ‘Nam Aeriyal Ondina’ is written and directed by Aravind Kaushik. The natural location is the highlight of this film that explains what happened one day in an area. Meghana Gaonkar, Anish Tejeswar, Mandya Ramesh are in the cast. Arjun has scored the music.

Set in the village background and significance of ‘Banni’ leaves (significant at the time of Navarathri festival) this film ‘Banni’ is also about the vengeance filled. Godachi Maharudrappa has directed this film with traditional background and A Nagesh is the producer.

Akul Balaji, Sowmya, Anand, Srikanth Deshpande, Kashi, Gururaja Hoskote, Chandrasekhar, Kishori Ballal, Ninasam Ashwath, BK Shanker are in the cast.
