It is joyous time for Tamil cinema. When it was murmured that the Tamil cinema has lost its quality and drifting towards commercial masalas, movies like Veyyil and Paruthi Veeran provided some respite. These movies not just won rave reviews but also made a good run at the box office.

The latest buzz doing rounds is that movies including Paruthi Veeran, Veyyil and Thangar Bachchan's Pallikoodam may go to Cannes Film Festival this year.

The film festival, considerd a prestigious show on earth, would reportedly screen Veyyil, Paruthi Veeran and Pallikoodam.

Thangar Bachchan is giving final touches to Pallikoodam and confirmed that attempts are on to get the movie screened at this year's edition of Cannes.
