Threats can't stop me: Pawan Kalyan

During his 5-day tour of US, actor Pawan Kalyan has been seen more as a change agent by his admirers. Expectedly, his self-referential speeches drew wide applause from his fans, both those in US and India.
Speaking at the Harvard University, Pawan said that the re-emergence of identity politics in India can threaten its integrity. "It's important to feel as one. I realize that Biharis and UPites don't know much about people living in the South. Vice-versa is also true. Without becoming one cultural unit, it will be very difficult," Pawan said.
"India is a passive society. When a woman was being molested in Bengaluru the other day, the onlookers did nothing. They could have stopped it. When elected representatives themselves watch pornography in Assemblies, what message is being sent across?" Pawan questioned.
He called for action and not just arm-chair critiquing. Saying that he has been facing threats and intimidation for taking up people's issues, Powerstar said that he won't be deterred.
"India stands for Truth, for Dharma. We are the land of Himalayas. We love everyone, we fear none. We respect everyone, but we surrender to none," he said as a parting shot.
