Thottal Poo Malarum
Sakthi is the latest to join the long league of siblings of veteran film personalities making a foray in filmdom.
The new kid on the block and son of success-drenched director P Vasu said, he had to gain from the experience of Thottal Poo Malarum, the launch pad provided by a father to son.
Acting is not new for Sakthi. He had played as child artiste in Chinna Thambi, Senthamizh Paatu, Idhu namma Bhoomi and Rickshaw Mama before.
The actor says, "I am happy to face the camera with my father wielding the megaphone. Getting involved in the script made my job easier. There was no question of any undue advantage. In the sets, my father was as demanding as one would have expected from a newcomer".
"I prepared myself well before taking the leap to play the hero's role", adds Sakthi.
On his part, Vasu says, "I did not write the script keeping my son in mind. Only when the idea crossed my mind that Shakti could fit in the groove, I gave a serious thought to it and settled for him. In the sets, Shakti was like any other actor".
On the storyline, Vasu said,"It would fall in the lines of his debut vehicle Panneer Pushpangal, though the movie pertained to a different era and audience taste. The knot is the same, but the way of threading is in catering to the prevalent scenario. I have brought out the best out of Shakti and the results are awaited. Yuvan Shankar Raja's musical score is a big plus".
Gauri Munjal had a pleasing experience to narrate. "My character got the importance in the storyline generated. In a sublime love story, I could get to feel the substance and flavor of the end product".
The film is produced by Sapphire Media & Infrastructure.
