When the audience are ready to watch different attempts even if it features newcomers, why opt for regular stuff that too on big budgets, asks producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri.

Fresh from the success of 'Thamizh Padam', a spoof on Tamil movies, Dhayanidhi has started his next venture 'Thoonga Nagaram'. "I want to take one step at a time. I am in no hurry to do grand ventures," he says.

On his 'Thamizh Padam' doing well across the State, he says, "It is no spoof on Tamil cinema, it's rather a celebration of the industry. We have not hurt anyone and we respect veterans of cinema."

"I was happy to produce 'Thamizh Padam'. Director C S Amudhan has rendered a light-hearted entertainer, which is appreciated by the audience".

On 'Thoonga Nagaram', he says, "Written and directed by Gaurav, a former associate of K S Ravikumar, it features Vimal, Bharani and Nishanth in key roles. Anjali plays the heroine. It will be a different experience for the audience."
