Reliable sources confirm that the shooting for the veteran actor Kamal Haasan` upcoming film Thoongavanam` has been completed within 38 days. It`s a sweet coincidence that the multi-talented star`s latest super hit film Papanasam` which is still running in theaters was also shot within 38 days.

While Papanasam` had just two songs despite its running time of close to two hours, sources say Thoongavanam` will not have any songs in the film. Music director Ghibran has compose one song, but that will be used only for promotion of the film like the 'Vaanam Ellai' song composed and sung by Shruthi Haasan in Kamal`s 2009 thriller film Unnai Pol Oruvan`.

Films without songs is not new to Kamal Haasan as his earlier films Kurudhi Punal` and Unnaipol Oruvan` stand testimony to this.

The thriller flick Thoongavanam` stars Trisha, Prakash Raj, Kishore, Sampath, Madhu Shalini, Asha Sharath, Yuhi Sethu, Uma Riyaz and many others alongside Kamal Haasan. The film is being directed by Rajesh.M.Selva, an erstwhile assistant to Kamal Haasan and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International on a budget close to Rs.50 croroes.
