Only release for this Friday is 'Thoofan' of debut director, debut music director Elvin Joshua and debut producer. This is a badly needed hit for handsome looking Yashas who was good in Yuga Yugagale Sagali and Shishira Kannada films. Both the films flopped for him and he hopes he is lucky for the third time. Before this film he acted in 'Chingari' Kannada cinema as a cop in Switzerland and given a striking performance in supporting role.

For Yashas one of the very few good looking actors this 'Thoofan' has been delayed because of an accident he met on the sets. He was indisposed for six months. 'Thoofan' is an action filled, love, comedy and sentiment film that has a unique climax in the debut direction of Smile Seenu. H Jade Gowdru of HJ Gowda Productions has invested nearly two crores on this film shot in different locations.

Nakshatra from Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films is making her debut in Kannada opposite Yashas. Chandan, Ramesh Bhat, Vidya Murthy, Shivaramanna, Mangalore Suresh, Chitra Shenoy, Pramila Joshai, Devadas Kappikad, Sadhu Kokila are in the cast.
